"Lucky33" Tournament Series

With the help of its pro-active partners, the St. Leon-Rot Golf Club has created a new platform for developing and promoting the next generation of young, successful German golfers. A key player is Allianz, a company with a long history of commitment to junior sports and since 2010 title sponsor of the German Boys & Girls Open. As the St. Leon-Rot Golf Club's Top Partner, Allianz is fully committed to the Club's work in this area. And since 2009 it even has its own tournament series: »Lucky33«, the St. Leon-Rot Golf Club's tournament format for junior golfers aged up to 18, an exciting competition designed to help young talented golfers along the way to a promising future in golf.

As the name says, the number of participants is limited to 33 junior players per tournament: 33 »Lucky« boys and girls have the chance to experience a fun-packed tournament day and win great prizes. Through a professional program with lots of cool starting gifts such as polo shirts, caps, bag-tags, ball-markers, »Lucky33« golf balls and great prizes a special experience should be created, which motivates to play golf more intensively in the future. According to their handicap all children have the same chances at winning and if luck is on their side a ticket to the next tournament level is theirs. In each club event the best three participants will qualify for a place in the next stage of the series.

»Lucky33« made its debut in 2009 with six qualification rounds in six German clubs organised by local Allianz representatives and agents. In 2010 already 33 »Lucky33« tournaments took place in 33 German golf clubs and 4 tournaments took place in Switzerland. In 2011 even 33 »Lucky33« tournaments took place in 33 German golf clubs, 7 tournaments took place in Switzerland and 4 tournaments took place in France. Attendant to 33 »Lucky33« tournaments in Germany and seven tournaments in Switzerland there was also, for the first time, a tournament in Austria in 2012. In 2013 33 »Lucky33« tournaments were hosted in Germany, while it were seven in Switzerland.

In 2015 the participants can qualify themselves for the big »Lucky33« final at the St. Leon-Rot Golf Club from 3rd - 4th October 2015. The icing on the cake: the three lucky winners of the girls’ and boys’ finals at the St. Leon-Rot Golf Club will each win a place at a qualification tournament for next year's German Boys & Girls Open.

The big goal is that the »Lucky33« series will once take place in 33 countries worldwide with 33 local »Lucky33« tournaments in each country.

The best girls and boys qualify themselves for the respective country final which can be organized with a country-specific setup. The Winners of the country finals qualify for the big »Lucky33« Word Final at the St. Leon-Rot Golf Club in Germany. The best boy and the best girl from the »Lucky33« World Final qualify for the German Boys & Girls Open in the following year.
