"Lucky33" Final

GRAND FINAL OF THE "LUCKY33" CLUB TOURNAMENTS

In its seventh year, "Lucky33", the tournament series for young people from eight to 18 years, lost none of its appeal. The best proof afforded the finals in October in St. Leon-Rot Golf Club. 105 young people from Germany and Switzerland came into the Palatinate and experienced an unforgettable weekend. For this, the young participants had qualified in 34 qualifying tournaments in Germany and four in Switzerland. Overall this year 44 girls and 61 boys arrived to St. Leon-Rot.

Two final fays with many highlights waited for
them, their parents, but also the representatives of the Allianz, top partner of the host St. Leon-Rot Golf Club and partner of the tournament series. The weekend started on Saturday with practice rounds on course Rot, the check-in with numerous gifts and a great Player`s Night in the evening in the Club Restaurants "Ace of Clubs" and "Carpe Diem". For the entertainment of the guests there was not only the play of BINGO, but also a nightly shoot-out and, as the highlight of the evening, a grand raffle. The next morning the tournament for the finalists started by shotgun start on course Rot. To maintain the full power throughout the round, the young golfers, but also the guests on the property, were supplied with snacks and beverages by the "Lucky33" supply carts.

After the round, the young people met for the joint barbecue in the restaurants of the clubhouse. There, the "best of the best" were announced. Sean Brauwers won the boys competition and Clarissa Gutsche the girls competition. For both it was great prizes - a "Lucky33" Tour Bag by PING and a dream journey into the "Home of Golf" in the Scottish St Andrews with tee time on the most famous golf course in the world.

"More than 33,000 young people participated until now in the tournaments of "Lucky33" - a figure which makes us very proud. "Lucky33" is a terrific success story that has exceeded our expectations. The reason is obvious: With "Lucky33" young golfers with a handicap up to -45 get an almost unique opportunity to participate in a highly professionally managed youth tournament and compete with their peers," says Eicko Schulz-Hanßen, Managing Director of St. Leon-Rot Golf Club. And he adds: "If you see how great the enthusiasm of young people is at these tournaments and even the finals, there is no question that we want to continue "Lucky33" in the coming years. In this context, a big thank you to our top partner Allianz and its dedicated general agents. Only thanks to their support we are able to perform such a professional and transnational tournament series."
